The Urban Water and Sanitation Project (UWSP) initiated by the Government of Senegal with the support of the World Bank aims to increase sustainable access to water and sanitation services in selected urban areas
TPF was in charge of the supervision and control of the works of Component A "Urban Hydraulics" and in particular of the works between the Tassette catchment center and the Thiès reservoirs:
- realization of 7 boreholes and associated equipment in Tassette,
- construction of a pumping station in Tassette with a capacity of 1,050 m³/h and its wet well (550 m³),
- construction of two reservoirs south of Thiès, each with a capacity of 10,000 m³,
- laying of a 16.5 km-long cast iron pipe (DN 600 mm) between the Tassette catchment area and the existing reservoirs of North Thiès,
- laying of a 5km-long cast iron pipe (DN 800 mm) connecting the existing reservoirs of North Thiès and the Reservoirs to be created in the South.
