New Polyclinic Building for the 12 de Octubre Hospital consisting of six storeys above ground (63,000 m²) and a 25,000 m² underground car park offering 1,000 parking spaces

The storeys above ground have been designed to house, among other things, 252 out-patient consultations, examination rooms, 6 operating rooms (4 for major and 2 for minor surgery), laboratories and research areas, a diagnostic imaging unit equipped with state-of-the-art technology (2 magnetic resonance imaging systems, 2 CT scanners, 2 mammography machines, 4 general x-ray rooms and 4 ultrasound units), maintenance and storage facilities. 

The central utility plant CPU building accommodates the HVAC system, pumping stations, a 4,000 kVA transformer unit and a 3,750 kVA electric generating set.

The structure of the Polyclinic building is comprised of waffle slab floors and concrete pillars.
